Several streets in Kensington Market go car-free for the day, and we eat, dance, and play in the streets together, sowing the seeds of community. Pedestrian Sundays don't permanently change the streets, but they forever change the way you perceive them.

Cheese Boutique's Festival of Chefs features 10 of Toronto?s finest chefs giving cooking demonstrations each Saturday and Sunday (plus holiday Monday) in May, cooking with ingredients from the store, and pairing their complimentary dishes with local wines for festival patrons. Chefs participating this year include Rob Gentile (Buca), Albert Ponzo (Le S?lect Bistro), Lora Kirk (Ruby Watchco), Tomas Bellec (The Four Seasons Hotel), Tom Brodi (TOCA Restaurant), Rocco Agostino (Enoteca Sociale), Basil Pesce (Biff's Bistro), Kevin McKenna (Globe/Earth), Tony Glitz (Real Sports Bar & Grill) and Grant Van Gameren (The Black Hoof). Chefs Nick Liu (Niagara Street Cafe), Scott Vivian (Beast), Corey Vitello (The Harbord Room), and Dave Kemp (Salt Wine Bar) come together for a series of five-course dinners at their respective restaurants. For each dinner, the host chef will prepare an amuse bouche and main course, while the other three chefs take on a course each. Optional wine pairings are available for an additional charge. $10 from each meal will be donated to The Stop Community Food Centre.
