NFHS softball coach honored at NFL Banquet
Niagara Gazette ? Martha Amoretti, who led the Niagara Falls High School softball team to a 13-1 record and Niagara Frontier League championship, was named the school's Coach of the Year at the NFL Banquet held Wednesday evening in Tonawanda.
Amoretti's accomplishment came in her first year as the school's varsity coach. She has served as a coach for the past 11 years with basketball and softball.
Also honored by Niagara Falls High School at the NFL Banquet was Jack Prybylski, who was named the winner of the Cornerstone Award, recognizing his work leading the pep band at Wolverines games.
Every member school in the NFL honored a coach and staff member or volunteer at last night's award banquet.
